KlezFactor has been hard at work through the last several months getting a new EP ready to go! We’re calling it “Songs from a Pandemic Winter” and you’ll be able to hear the first track on May 28, 2021!
We’ve dropped a couple of teaser trailers so far and everything is coming together beautifully! The first teaser features music from “Third Wave Lockdown” while the second features our first single, “Mardi Gras Fever Dream” with dancing by Steve Weintraub!
We’re really excited about this project! Composer and reed player Mike Anklewicz is joined by long-time KlezFactor members Jarek Dabrowski on guitar and Graham Smith on bass while Paul Georgiou returns on percussion (he played percussion on the Europa album). Joining the band for the first time is Kousha Nakhaei on violin, bringing a Persian-inflected flavour to the band!
We’re also super pleased to be joined by a stellar cast of guest artists, including Keith Hartshorn-Walton of Ottawa on tuba, Toronto’s Dave MacDougall on drums, KlezFactor founding member Ali Berkok on keyboards from Kingston, Ontario and vocalist extraordinaire Melanie Gall from St. Albert, Alberta.
We’ll be releasing each track every couple of weeks exclusively on our Bandcamp page, and once all the tracks are out, you’ll be able to get the EP on Bandcamp, CD Baby and it will ultimately be available to stream places like Spotify.
Stay tuned for more information!
