KlezFactor is very proud to announce that we’re going to be performing on Friday night (February 26) for the Oraynu Congregation’s “Soup It Up for Syria” fundraiser. We’re going to playing a little more of a Middle-Eastern set with Mike Anklewicz on clarinet and saxophone, RJ Satchithananthan on bass, Noah Sherman and drums and special guest, Paul Georgiou on the oud (and maybe percussion).
The event is held by the Oraynu Congregation for Humanistic Judaism at the Borochov Cultural Centre (272 Codsell Ave, at Wilson Heights, just north of Sheppard) on Friday, February 26 at 7:00 pm. Among the goings on will be:
A short Shabbat program
A Taste of Syria – vegetaria Syrian soup!
Mahmoud Allouch – from the Arab Community Centre of Toronto to speak about Syrian Refugee Settlement
KlezFactor (that’s us!)
Reverse silent auction – donate items to furnish the home of their sponsored family
Cash bar(!)
Tickets are only $15 per person and $30 per family (up to four people) and it promises to be a great event. You can RSVP to 416-385-3910 or to roby@oraynu.org. Please join us!
